LOFAR Winter BBQ

| Description: | The LOFAR project made great progress in 2009, with the construction of the antenna stations in the Netherlands and abroad, the completion of many geo- and infrasound fields, the network connections and the installation of computer equipment in Groningen. A lot of effort has also been put into the software side, so essential for the performance of the instrument. The verification, testing and operations also got underway, which has led to a strong commissioning programme involving many astronomers. The LOFAR Winter Barbecue was meant as a small thank you to the people involved. |
