Description: | The first day of the 65th Dutch Astronomy Conference (NAC) was practically taken over by LOFAR and WSRT talks. From 19-21 May, the yearly national astronomy meeting took place at Cuijk, near the organizing Radboud University of Nijmegen. Right after the welcome speech by the mayor of Cuijk, Mike Garrett outlined the status of LOFAR and the outlook towards SKA (cf. picture). The rest of day one was mostly filled with LOFAR and WSRT talks (boxed titles, above), spanning wide ranges of science and technology. |
