Today's Summer Student Lecture

Submitter: Marijke Haverkorn
Description: As part of the ASTRON/JIVE summer student program, weekly lectures on astronomical topics will be given throughout the summer. Every Tuesday, a different lecturer will entertain the summer students and all others who are interested.

Today's lecture, the last lecture in the series, is another shared presentation, in which Joeri van Leeuwen and Roy Smits will entertain us with a Tale of Two Nobel Prizes: from the discovery of radio pulsars in de Sixties, touching on the proof of the existence of gravitional waves in the Nineties, to the outlook for the next decades.

The lecture will be at 11:00 in the Hooghoudt room. The schedule, and the pdf's of previous talks, can be found here.
