LOFAR UK608 at dusk

| Description: | This photograph was taken at the LOFAR station UK608 (Chilbolton). Silhouetted against the evening sky are the familiar LBA aerials. But on the horizon are the 4.5m ground station dish (very small, about a third of the way across from the left), the RF-container (where the signal processing for the LOFAR station occurs), and the 25m weather radar dish at the main Chilbolton Observatory. Taken on 16th September 2010, just a few days before the station was officially opened, this image is yet another example of how lovely the weather is in England.
