| Description: | The production of LOFAR high band antennas (HBA) started in the autumn of 2008. On November 5th 2010, our contractor Autonational produced the last HBA tile. A total of 2824 tiles have been produced for all national and international LOFAR stations, representing a total HBA collection area of more than 70.000 m2, or 1/14th square km.
The production site in Exloo will be now be dismantled. We gratefully acknowledge the excellent collaboration with all who helped to build, install and test these LOFAR antennas. |
