Description: | On Saturday 10th December 2011, many parts of the world saw a total lunar eclipse. While totality was not visible from Europe, the Moon rising here after the Moon had started to emerge from the shadow cast by the Earth, it was possible to see a partial eclipse in the early evening. This photograph was taken at a LOFAR station near Exloo just after sunset while the Moon was still partially eclipsed. |
