LOFAR survived the storm

| Description: | The picture shows how last week's heavy storm is perilously ripping at the plastic covers of the LOFAR high-band antenna (HBA) stations, and seriously but unsuccessfully trying to pull out the anchors. Fortunately, none of the HBA tiles has become airborne despite the strong gusts. Later inspection by Astron and Isiterra personnel confirmed once more that the LOFAR telescope can survive these extreme weather conditions. |
