| Description: | The annual ASTRON / JIVE summer student Wadlopen extravaganza! This time the ASTRON director himself joined the intrepid radio astronomers unable to resist the allure of trampling through almost 10 km of mud, sand and chest high sea water on the epic trek to the island of Ameland, just off the north coast of the Netherlands. The day was a memorable experience for all, enhanced both by the spectacular scenery, exotic wildlife and grand company of a fine group of people. Good luck to the daring Wadlopers of 2014. |
