Description: | A long time ago, in the evening of March 13 1989 when going for a run, I suddenly saw strange moving colors in the clear sky and immediately I knew I had to get my camera and shoot some images of it, overwhelmed by the beauty of this Aurora Display. Now some 25 years later I thought it would be nice trying to make an animation of some of these images and I was lucky to find four successive images. Originaly the images were made with a Minolta camera on 400 ISO film (slides), the location was Assen-noord. Photoshop was used to make the animated GIF. The Aurora Borealis show of 1989 was one of the most spectacular ever, with reports coming even from the south of France. |
