| Description: | MeerKAT Array Release 1 (AR1), with 16 dishes out of the full complement of 64 operational, has recently gone live in the Karoo desert, in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. I will present initial results from the telescope, and give an overview of other happenings in South Africa. |
