| Description: | In this colloquium, I will give an overview of radio interferometric techniques and algorithms, and cover the advancement in techniques driven by instruments such as LOFAR. This includes RFI detection, calibration, imaging, and other processing techniques. I will also cover the direction of future radio imaging techniques, and further advancements required for instruments such as the SKA, as well as the role that ASTRON can play in this. My talk aims to be both useful for radio astronomers as well as for instrument scientists and algorithmic software developers. |
