New Flexbuff WSRT

Submitter: Richard Blaauw
Description: Despite what some people think there are still observations being preformed with the WSRT, maybe more than ever.
On a daily basis we are using telescope 1 for different scientific programs. Such as PRECISE that is part of AstroFlash( https://astroflash-frb.github.io/ ).
For PRECISE we are observing almost every day, generating huge amounts of data. Our Flexbuff could not keep up with that and was always operating around 80/90% of its capacity. This meant doing less observations and it required operators to copy/remove data during evenings/weekends.

Thanks to the PRECISE project we now have a nice new Flexbuff with 36 disks of 16TB each. The new Flexbuff is installed at Jive to increase the EVN storage pool. The old Flexbuff (36x8TB) is installed in Westerbork dedicated for PRECISE and other projects.
