| Description: | Katharine Mulrey, Katie, is an Assistant Professor of Astrophysics at the Radboud University Nijmegen. On July 6th, 2023 she received the Langerhuizen Bate prize for her project "Detecting cosmic rays with LOFAR2.0" from the Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen (KHMW) in Haarlem. Katie plans to use the 25-keuro prize money to upgrade the transient buffer boards of LOFAR2.0 to enable 24/7 cosmic-ray detection, also using both the low-band and high-antennas simultaneously.
