Description: | Earlier last week a comet with the name of C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan–ATLAS moved past the Sun and has since become visible for observers in the Northern hemisphere. Yesterday evening was the first time the sky was clear and a group of Dwingeloo locals got together to attempt to see C/2023 A3. Armed with binoculars and cameras the comet was quickly spotted when the sky darkened after sunset, and the nucleus and tail of the comet became visible to the naked eye. The Moon provided a perfect source of illumination to create this photograph.
If you want to see comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan–ATLAS yourself, look due West on a clear evening during the first few hours after sunset.
