| Description: | The 76-m Lovell telescope at Jodrell Bank Observatory has just been voted as the UK's greatest 'unsung landmark' in a BBC competition. The telescope - part of the European VLBI Network - will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. The picture shows Jodrell Bank Observatory and on the horizon, Liverpool Cathedral (over 60km away). |
