Veil Nebula NGC6992

Submitter: Albert van Duin
Description: The Veil Nebula a supernova remnant in Cygnus, its distance is about 1,400 light years. This supernova occurred about 5 - 10,000 years ago. Though it can be seen in small telescopes under dark skies, a photograph shows much more detail. This is a 20 minute exposure made in Beilen with my 20cm F/2.75 astrograph and a h-alpha modified Canon 350D DSLR.
