SKA Organisation makes an important step forward.

| Description: | A few weeks ago, the 7 nations met at London Heathrow to establish the "SKA Organisation Ltd" - a UK company limited by guarantee. The establishment of the company represents more than a decade of effort from scientists from around the world, including the SPDO director, Prof. R.T. Schilizzi. Staff at NWO (led by Patricia Vogel) have also contributed greatly to setting up the new company, supported by the SKA Legal & Governance working group. The Netherlands was well represented with Prof. Jos Engelen (chairman of the NWO General Board) signing on our behalf. The image above shows Jos signing the articles of association. The first face-to-face meetings will take place in mid-January. Michiel van Haarlem was also confirmed as the interim Director General of the new SKA Project Office.
