Description: | The ASTRON/JIVE summer students visited the LOFAR radio telescope together with Preeti Kharb, a visitor of JIVE. The Summer Research Programme of ASTRON and JIVE enables astronomy students (graduate or advanced under-graduate) to spend the summer (10 to 12 weeks) at the Dwingeloo Observatory, conducting astronomical research under the supervision of staff members. This year we have six students (from right to left): Saavidra Perera (UK), Andreas Johansson (Sweden), Patricia Carroll (USA), Janez Kos (Slovenia), Judit Fogasy (Hungary), and Luis Henry Quiroga Nunez (Colombia).
