Can I start the summer student programme before or after the specified starting dates (June 15-22, 2026)?
No.
We need to ensure overlap between the students to organise the lectures and other activities in the programme.
Therefore we ask all participants to arrive between June 15 and June 22, 2026
Can I end the summer student programe before the specified end (August 21-28, 2026) dates?
We require students to be present at least until August 21st.
I am not a MSc (or equivalent level) student, can I apply?
You can apply to the summer student programme, but your chances of being selected will be lower. Since we have many applications, we strongly advise only MSc students to apply.
I don't have a preference to work on a specific topic, do I still need to select three research themes?
Yes. You can add extra information in the open field below the theme selections.
I don't have my proof of studentship yet. Can I send it in later?
No, before you fill in the application form, make sure you have all documents and information that is required. It is not possible to change your application after you have submitted the form.
Do I need to have a reference letter?
No, but we do ask for the contact information of a professor or supervisor in your department. If we think it is useful, we will request the information from them directly.
