Accommodation
The ASTRON office is located about 3 kilometers from the village Dwingeloo in the Province of Drenthe. ASTRON is situated next to the Dwingeloo Radio Telescope, which is maintained and operated by the CAMRAS foundation. The nearest towns with a railway station are Beilen (within biking distance, about 14 km) and Hoogeveen (within biking distance, via Hoogeveenseweg/Kraloërweg 11.5 km).
Guest house
ASTRON has a guest house with 10 rooms, a shared kitchen and living room. We only facilitate accommodation (overnight stay) with bicycle use included.
During your stay you can buy your own groceries and prepare your own meals. From Monday till Friday you can buy breakfast (from 8.30) and lunch (between 12.00 – 1.00 pm) in the canteen which is located in the main building.
The price of a single room is € 43,50 per night.
If you need a room, please contact your host or the secretariat of your host’s division to reserve a room in the guest house.
