LOFAR Status Meeting :: 07 Apr 2010

This week there is a Transient KSP busy week with over 20 participants in Dwingeloo. Results will be presented next week:

The latter part of last week was spent on preparations for the Transient KSP busy week:

• Test observations of the zenith mode of the Radio Sky Monitoring project were taken.
• An observation of Jupiter was made on April 2nd.
• During the Easter weekend, an observation of a pulsar was scheduled to record both interferometric and coherently added beam-formed data. Due to problems with some stations, this observation was not successful. The causes of the problem are under investigation.

Work on the ITRF beamserver is ongoing. Implementation is planned for this week. Next week has been earmarked as a “Control and Metadata” busy week to continue with the development of streamlined beginning-to-end observing procedures.
