International Network Meetings
The LOFAR international network meetings are held to give the networking engineers a forum to discuss problems and planning for the network connections for LOFAR. Here, network includes such topics as:
- 10 Gb/s fiber connections to stations, Groningen, archive centers, etc.
- network protocols
- switch issues
- VLANs
- data rates
- archive data transfer
and so on.
Next Meeting
The next meeting will take place sometime in 2009 Dec or 2010 Jan. A Doodle will be sent out to the usual suspects around the end of October, or early November, and an announcement will be placed here as well. Check back.
